I.

disembodied wish

childish fancies sweet no more

killed but still standing

might dreams be as obvious

saddle them up tear them down

sold short

II.

float, float, porcelain
from a confused height dreaming
fearful of treading
on a brittle world below
perhaps it is a sign to
let go

III.

sleeping thoughts do lie
a wall of staring faces
turn away and die
hating, perpetuating
staring turns to smothering
loving

IV.

a still life framed
dreaming of escape innate
no present no past
future captive of a world
undecipherable by
those held

V.

the wounded outcome
of a crawling stooped and low
remember breathing
finding misplaced optimism
in strangest gazes places
faces

VI.

declined acceptance
hanging in balance
gazing heavenward
nothing for me here I think
clouds treading rolling on me
so free

VII.

a killed past now framed
let dust settle in at home
filling cracks with peace
history neat and tidy
best to leave it be
now we
forget
